Blender Basics

Learn the fundamentals of Blender, a versatile open-source 3D software. This course is open for students interested in exploring 3D artistry using Blender. There will be 12 sessions of teaching combining follow-along exercises, and at the end of semester 2-3 sessions as open appointments where students can discuss their own project envisions and receive assistance in the realization.

We will cover the following topics:

> Navigation of the program

> Importing and exporting files

> Workflow combining other programs

> Lighting

> Texturing

> Animation

> Physics simulation

> Rendering and compositing

> Prepare files for XR project
